Austin is the capital of Texas. It is also known as the “live music capital of the world”. We welcome you, and hope you love Austin as much as we do.

If you’re flying to Austin for the fest, you will fly into the Austin Bergstrom International Airport, which is located just minutes from the venue.

Check out a map and directions to Carson Creek Ranch HERE.

Did you know you can camp on site at Carson Creek Ranch? You can also rent a tent and have it set up and waiting for you when you arrive. Check out our festival camping options – CAMPING PASSES & RENTALS.

In addition to our festival camping options , there are of course many places to stay in Austin.

There are about a dozen hotels located right by the airport and venue that we recommend staying at for easy access. You can find them at the intersection of Riverside and Highway 71 / Ben White. Check out this Google link to get a view of your options in the area.

You can try to use or to get a good deal on one of the airport hotels which is where the festival shuttle will be making pickup and drop off stops throughout the weekend.

You can also get some good deals on AirBnB, check it out.

If you’re looking for somewhere extra special, you should consider SAN JOSE and HOTEL ST. CECILIA, managed by the same folks behind EL COSMICO in Marfa, which we also highly recommend for a trip outside of Austin.

Please RSVP on our facebook page HERE if you plan to use the shuttle service. You don’t have to RSVP to ride the shuttle.

Shuttles will run to and from two convenient locations to Carson Creek Ranch throughout the day and night all weekend. There will be 2 routes running the whole weekend of the festival beginning at noon until 3:00 am. (music ends each night at 1:45 am).

We will add additional buses to each route after midnight each night from 12 am – 3 am to take attendees back to the pickup locations.

The buses will run all day back and forth from the pickup points to the ranch. Depending on traffic we expect the downtown bus to run every 35 – 45 minutes and the hotel bus to run every 15 – 25.

– This route will travel to and from the festival venue and the airport hotels at Highway 71 and East Riverside Dr. The pickup and drop-off point will be the stop sign at Metro Center Dr. and East Riverside, behind Microtel Hotel.

– Another route will stop at the corner of East 5th and Brushy, just east of I-35.

If you plan on taking a taxi to and from the venue, make sure that you reserve your taxi in advance. Below are a few Austin taxi companies –

Austin’s public transportation includes a network of city buses. Although buses will NOT stop at the venue, you can plan your route, see a map, and learn more here –

Buses route 350 and 100 stop just down the street from Hampton Inn on East Riverside Dr. where the festival shuttle will be picking and dropping people off. Make sure you check the times that the city buses run.

Unfortunately, biking to Carson Creek Ranch involves crossing highways, bridges and other potential hazards, and we cannot recommend a safe bike route.

Save money, reduce traffic, and socialize on your way to Austin Psych Fest. We definitely encourage carpooling to and from the festival. has great reviews, and looks like a great tool to find a ride or offer one.
