TRAVEL & LODGING
Austin is the capital of Texas. It is also known as the “live music capital of the world”. We welcome you and hope you love Austin as much as we do.
IF YOU’RE COMING BY PLANE
You will fly into the Austin Bergstrom International Airport, which is located just minutes from the venue.
IF YOU’RE COMING BY CAR
Check out a map and directions to the festival here. Read about venue parking on the Venue page.
WHERE CAN I STAY?
In addition to festival camping and the hotels listed below, there are many places to stay while you’re in Austin.
There are about a dozen hotels located right by the airport and venue that we recommend staying at for easy access. You can find them at the intersection of Riverside and Highway 71 / Ben White. Check out this Google link to get a view of your options in the area.
HOTEL INFORMATION
We currently have deals with the following hotels located just minutes from the venue. There will be a shuttle traveling between these hotels and the festival! Keep reading for more information.

GETTING TO THE VENUE
FESTIVAL SHUTTLE
There will be one festival shuttle running limited hours between the designated hotel area at Hampton Inn and the venue at Carson Creek Ranch. The shuttle will run each day from 12 pm – 4 pm, and will resume service from 11 pm – 3 am.
A shuttle weekend pass is $10, and are available in a limited amount. Those with a shuttle pass will get first priority to ride. Once passes sell out, individual rides without a pass will be $3 and sold on an availability basis. Cash payments can be made on the shuttle or purchase your pass in advance here.
The ranch is about 5 minutes from the pickup point, so we expect to be able to service 250-400 people daily.
If you are not staying in the area hotels, please do not leave your car in their parking lots. You might get towed! Take a city bus to the hotel, arrange for a ride, or find a parking spot nearby where your car is sure to be there when you get back.
CITY BUSES
Austin’s public transportation includes a network of city buses. Although buses will NOT stop at the venue, you can plan your route, see a map, and learn more here – http://www.capmetro.org/metrobus/.
Buses route 350 and 100 stop just down the street from Hampton Inn on East Riverside Dr. where the festival shuttle will be picking and dropping people off. Make sure you check the times the buses run.
One day we hope to be able to offer a complimentary shuttle service to festival attendees, but we’re just not there yet. Thanks for all your support!
TAXIS
There will be a taxi stand and lane at the public entrance to Carson Creek Ranch. If you plan on taking a taxi to and from the venue, make sure that you reserve your taxi in advance – this is not an area that taxis frequent. Below are a few Austin taxi companies –
- Yellow Cab – (512) 452 – 9999
- Austin Cab Company – (512) 478 – 2222
- Lone Star Cab Company – (512) 836 – 4900
BIKING
Unfortunately, biking to Carson Creek Ranch involves crossing highways, bridges and other potential hazards, and we cannot recommend a safe route.
CARPOOL
What a perfect way to get into the festival spirit! Save money, reduce traffic, and socialize on your way to Austin Psych Fest. We definitely encourage carpooling to and from the festival. Erideshare.com has great reviews, and looks like a great tool to find a ride or offer one. Please remember to be smart about who you ride with and how you ride.
